Verdi Fire

A major brush fire has broken out just North west of Reno, near Verdi. 100+ acres and moving fast. 50-60 structures threatened. Lots of strike teams going that way, both from nevada and california.

Thanks for posting this info and all the past fire info. I have a question. On some sierra front fires you have posted the A/G prmary as 165.650 and some like this 165.250. Are both of these A/G or which one is correct?

Yeah sorry about that, it was a typo. The A/G Primary i show as 165.2500 and 166.8750 as secondary. Sorry everyone.

Passed through Reno yesterday about 1400, didn't see any smoke showing on the hillside. Did they finally knock it down?

yeah, the fire is out, but they might still have for USFS units on scene doing a final checkdown.
