Driving thru the area last night I noticed Kewaunee Co 155.190 and Outagamie Co 155.415 had excellent sounding audio on VHF analog. Good signals, I could hear them several counties away on the mobile rig.

What caught my attention was the crisp audio, it didnt sound like something that was cross patched. They must have a great maintenance person taking care of their gear, audio balanced from mobile to mobile with great frequency response.Pleasure to listen to even if it is "narrow banded" (2.5 khz deviation).

Yeah I believe Kewaunee county has remote receiver's for 155.190 hauled by UHF and then voted and transmitted on VHF. It is nice to hear good quality audio.

However almost all of kewaunee County is going to WISCOM soon....

There is a lot of activity, in general, in the 154 and 155Mhz range. I scan that segment frequently and never get bored.

Too bad neither of them is going to be around much longer.
