Vhf Edacs

I need someone down in southwest NJ to check this out better than I can - I found an EDACS CC on 154.4075 while traveling back up toward the NJTP last week from the Bridgeton area.

No one has a license for that that I can find in the FCC database in NJ, PA or DE that would be even close to where I heard it (Hazlet FD is way too far away).

Any ideas?

Never mind, it's the Cecil County MD system I was hearing!

BTW - I was even able to hear it up in Audubon on my FT-7800 (now that's coverage!)

During the summer I could get them here in Beachwood. Too bad the system is using SitePro.

What is Site Pro? What does it do? Is it Digital or Analog?

The system was designed from the start as ProVoice digital. I'll have to counter the assumption about it being ESK, though.

The CC sounded like a normal EDACS CC to me, and from what I'm told, when a system has ESK running, the CC sounds like a buzz saw instead of it's normal tone.

The system does not use ESK. As I mentioned eariler, it has a SitePro controller.

The systems you are referencing are Site-Pro / SIM systems and do have a slightly different data output than earlier GETC / Site Controller systems but it accomplishes the same thing. Site-Pro took the place of the GETC and the SIM (Site Interface Module) took the place of the Site Controller. You should notice this on most Site-Pro systems.

Our scanners can't decode the control channel properly on a system utilizing a SitePro controller (nor can ETrunker or UniTrunker).
