Virtual Control (VC) With Butel Software For HP1 ?

Hello,

Have a HP1. and using Butel software with it.

Is VC implemented yet for the HP1 ?

If so, what do I need to get going with VC ?

e.g.,

Using Windows 7.
Are additional Drivers required, and where to get ?

Is the present USB cable I am using to my PC all that is required, or is a different
type of cable required ? From the Line Out jack ?

Couldn't find any instructions on using VC with the HP1.
Are there any ?

You need to download and install the Uniden serial drivers from here:

WebHome < HomePatrol < TWiki

and then start the ARCPatrol virtual control with your scanner in the serial mode using the USB cable, choose your COM port and click the "start" button.

I don't recall if you purchased the Extreme Upgrade for your Home Patrol or not, but it is required for Virtual Control to function.

Thinking about it though, as I am enjoying the HP1 a lot.
Due in large part to all the help I've received from you, and everyone.

If I do get tit, are all the functions for the radio when used the normal way now (also) available
on my PC Screen ? If not, what can I now do from my PC, and what can't be done ?

I think I read somewhere that they now have a lower price for the Extreme.

Any idea what they want for it now, and the most direct means of getting it ?

Functions are pretty much the same, the virtual control gives you a logging screen.

The cost for the Extreme Upgrade is now $50, and all of the instructions for getting it, and a list of it's features are here:

It's 50 bucks. Only available thru Uniden

In my opinion all that Arc's virtual is good for is logging - and it does that well. It does mimic the screen and most of the functions are on screen - just see no use for it.
