i expect this has come up servral time how do you set up virtual radar ive tried so many times one min its connecting and nothing is happening ive tested the settings and its says its connected but no plane are showing am i doing something wrong

I’m using a sdr dongle and sdr sharp with a diamond d777 antenna

I never used VRS with SDRSharp. The config that works for me is dump1090 feeding VRS.

The only hardware you need is your dongle, your antenna and a PC of course ;-)
Dump1090 is free software. In looking at the other sources I used at one time I did use ADSB# which comes with SDRSharp. Is that how you are doing it or just SDRSharp feeding VRS?

Here's my config for ADSB#. Its been a while so I don't remember what my results were with it but I do know the most reliable method I used was Dump1090.

Notice the different port number used with ADSB#.

Also, don't forget that when you configure your source that you tick that Enable checkbox at the top so VRS uses it.

When you're brand new to something its easy to overlook things like that. Everything on the screen overwhelms you and you miss some things. VRS is a good piece of software and I have spent many happy hours with it. Enjoy, Stuart.

I use an RSPDuo with SDRUno. SDRUno has an ADSB plugin that works well. i feed the signal to virtual radar. The antenna is a Diamond discone antenna.
