I usually listen to public safety and talk on 2meter repeaters. I'm visiting my sister in round rock next weekend. Are they any good analog public safety to listen to and repeaters to talk on?

The only thing analog for public safety in Austin would be paging/locution on VHF/UHF. Round Rock does paging on an 800 channel I believe. All of Austin/Travis County and surrounding areas are either on P25 GATRRS or P25 (or OpenSky) LCRA systems.

Austin FD Locution-154.965
Travis County FD West Locution - 154.175
Travis County FD East Locution - 154.205
Round Rock FD Locution/Direct Channel - 856.2125
Williamson County FD West Locution - 158.895
Williamson County EMS Locution - 462.975

Williamson County has a few more paging channels for the rest of the county but I cannot pick them up from here.

Try these:

146.940- PL 107.2 (on the KVUE tower in central-west austin)
147.320+ PL 114.8 (on the NXP old freescale/motorola tower in SW austin - but has good coverage)

Don't forget RR has an amateur radio section, and there's also repeaterbook for a 2nd opinion :)

Thanks . I forgot Chip could pull in from Repeater Book. I used it to pull in a few from Williamson county TX..
I added your two and a few from RB.

The problem with repeater book and RR. It won't tell you what are the popular repeaters worth talking on.
