I will be in the LA area next week and would like to go to an area that has a decent view of some of the aerial tanker operations. I have LA County freqs loaded and have copies of the Eaton and Palisades Ops Plans that list freqs in use. Any suggestions on where I can go? I know there are many roads that have been closed.

With the predicted weather change with rain and snow above 4000' starting this weekend, there probably will be limited air operations happening.

I would doubt there will be any air tanker operations next week. It's getting to the point where it's ground crews having to mop up any hotspots and turn the dirt over to put out any smoldering areas.

I agree with the other two guys: They probably are done flying on fires for now. You might be able to visit the LACoFD Heliport, located at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima and/or the LAFD Air Ops facility at Van Nuys Airport. The Super Scoopers from Quebec and the contracted Chinook are based at Van Nuys as well.
