I guess I'm all over the place. For my WS1080 it depends on where I'm at, it's my "go everywhere I go" scanner.. In my car it's usually around 25-26. At home it's 18-20 and when on the nightstand it's 12-15. My PSR800 sits on my desk and is dedicated to a Phase II system that's a lot louder so I usually turn it down to around 12-15 so as not to drown out my other scanners.
I misunderstood the question, hey, it's 513 am, and voted 30, which is the max volume it will go, but normally when I listen to it at home or work, it's between 12 and 15. In the car, it's about 22-25, I have a very loud exhaust system on it. Like this:
Max, most of the time, into amplified (computer) external speakers or into the car/pickup radio via aux-in or FM micro-transmitter. Around 20 if I'm carrying one of them around, less if I use earbuds. No one good answer!
Thanks for the responses, the poll will allow you to select more than one setting so for those that use multiple settings depending ending on usage, feel free to check the ones that apply.
Max In my vehicle, 18 bedside, 20 on a shelf above my monitor. On the last (20), if the TV is on (90 degrees to the left), my simple mind can't understand both at the same time. If I look at the scanner, after a few seconds, I can't understand the TV, and if I look at the TV, after a few seconds, I can't understand the scanner.
