Is the 460.3375 Readsboro transmitter no longer active? I haven't heard Shaftsbury radio traffic on it in weeks. It used to be a strong clear signal.

I'm programed with 460.3375, no PL. Aren't all the B troop channells supposed to multicast and go off on every frequency

I don't believe it's simulcast. 460.375 has a much stronger output to me in central VT. 3375 is weak except if you are near Readsboro or Middlebury (there's a repeater is on chipman hill in Middlebury as well.)

Hmmm I thought all the channels were simulcast, I'm pretty sure I read that on here

They are multicast, not simulcast. They use multiple frequencies to simulcast radio traffic.

Simulcast is when all the transmitters are on the same frequency and are synchronized.

There's a difference and it's important. Especially as things progress to P25.

For VTSP I am pretty certain they are only occasionally multi-cast. I know when I've been in SE VT, there have been times when I've heard both.
