I heard a female warden communicating with Rutland on Killington Monday. I way to the north northeast in Vermont. The transmissions were extremely strong and clear.

Hearing 159.4050 $802 loud and clear from the tri-mountain area in southern VT. Officers calling into Rutland dispatch, so unsure which repeater they're using.

Last week radio maintenance was testing 159.405 on what sounded like the Burke MT. That same evening traffic went digital.
From what I understand, the patrol units now have 50 watt digital radios instead of the 100 watt analog units. Some of the
wardens have been using VSP frequencies to communicate with dispatchers. Others are using their provided electronic
hand held devices when possible to communicate with dispatchers, therefore the wardens have gone quite quiet in the North Eastern part of the state.
