Can anyone give me a list of air/air freqs for the 158 FW also do you think they will be doing CAP duty over Marthas Vinyard this week?

There are other ANG units that are closer to Martha's Vineyard, including one or two based in Massachusetts.

I don't think any of us "scannerists" know what units are going to be covering a potential CAP over the Vineyard until if and when it happens. If history is any indication the VT ANG will not be covering it. They only covered the CAP over Kennebunkport for a short period of time before units from Shaw, Langley or others took control. So far F-15's from Langley AFB in Virginia have been the fighter's covering the CAP. Not sure if they will continue through the week or if another squadron will get the honors. Various tanker units from around the NE are performing the tanker duties. Keep an eye on 360.15. That's a very popular air to air frequency for the F-15's. If you don't hear anything there, scan the UHF band and eventually you'll find them. Also, take a look at the "Sticky Thread for Milair IV" in the Maryland Discussion Form for more frequencies in use at the CAP.

Also keep an eye on the Milcom list on qth.net. Using Google, as one poster suggested, is simply going to bring up old sites with potentially out of date information. You want something a bit more timely than something like that.

I would also keep an eye on the Scan New England forums and see what pops up. As they are dedicated to that area, it's likely someone will report something as soon as they find it 73 Mike

Thanks for the above information . I was wondering why the 158 FW was doing CAP coverage last year and not the F-15s of the 104 FW also who is providing the Scramble coverage that the 102 FW from Otis AFB was assigned to. I heard that the F-15s from Barnes{104 FG) are not yet up to strength?

FYI, Barnes is out of town according to the local news
for training, I think I heard they are out at Nellis for 2 weeks
