...looking for ideas/assistance with a problem I am having in decoding the nightly W1AW digital bulletins...
I am using AndFlmsg 1.5.0 for Android to decode. I currently use this app to successfully decode the weekly Shortwave Radiogram in text and pictures,
but cannot get the app to decode the W1AW transmissions...
Radiogram uses MFSK32 and MFSK64 which are in the apps list of included modes and it runs perfectly with no issues.
W1AW uses BPSK31 and MFSK16 for their transmissions, both of those modes are also included in the app and can be automatically or manually selected.
The problem is that the app runs as it should but doesn't decode the transmission. I only receive a jumble of gibberish letters, numbers, and symbols instead of legible text.
The modem center frequency default is set to 1500, the waterfall shows the signal being processed, the S meter shows proper signal strength, the CPU is not overloading and I am receiving strong clear signals in all 3 transmitted frequencies ( 7.095, 14.095 and 18.102 Mhz)...
Am I missing a correct setting of some kind? I have read the app's instructions and info multiple times but can't find anything addressing this particular issue...completely stumped at this point, looking for any advice or direction
Thanks!
