Where's Waldo? Probably with Alachua S.O.

I've been following this thread with some curiousity, so I thought I'd add my 2¢ worth.
In looking at Alachua SO's website, I found this page under their Communications Section:

http://www.alachuasheriff.org/Combined Communications Center/what_is_Communications.htm

In case the link doesn't make it, the web page indicates that the "Combined Communications Center" at Alachua SO handles comm's for:
1. Alachua County Fire-Rescue (link: www.firerescue.alachua.fl.us)
2. Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (link: www.alachuasheriff.org )
3. City of Gainesville Fire-Rescue (link: www.gfr.org )
4. City of Gainesville Police Department (link: www.gainesvillepd.org )
5. City of Waldo Police Department

Other webpages indicate that they use a Motorola SmartZone TRS operated by the Gainesville Regional Utilities for the agencies served by the Alachua Combined ComCenter, Univ. of FL PD, and the GRU itself.

So, if Alachua SO does it like Palm Beach SO....small city departments with only a few users [cops] are blended in with regular SO units on the district/sector talkgroup that the SO uses for that geographical area.

Anyone monitoring ASO might llisten up on the talkgroup for that NE area to see if some chatter pops up for Waldo. If ASO has a dedicated Inquiry talkgroup for running record checks [D/L's, warrants, registrations, etc.] it might be a good spot to listen as well. If Waldo lives up to its rep, they probably run a LOT of tags, DL's and other inquiries...that is, if they don't do them all by MDT from their cars. ;-)

Good luck.

Good detective work there!! Hell maybe waldo is on the 800 system.... I always hear on ASO Primary, some units referred to as Waldo12, Waldo702, etc. I thought these were ASO units in waldo..... Maybe I was wrong, next time I drive through there, I just might have to take one for the team... ;)

DON'T DO IT, WHOOEY!!! Don't give them the satisfaction! What Vern brought to our attention makes perfect sense. After all, this is what Alachua's neighbor of Bradford County does for Lawtey. Lima406, etc.

But I dont hear many Waldo(number) 10-50's though. (Traffic Stops) Hmmmm. Well, i guess this "Where's Waldo" party is coming to an end. It has been a fun thread trying to surf our way to discovering just where they were in the RF spectrum.
