don't treat it as advertisement, I just want to share some findings. Lately I can see so many walkie talkie apps coming for Android or iPhone, but most of them are either too simple or working through some publc service. No doubts there is certain trend to shift from two-way radios to smartphones even for PTT calls and group operations, but so far I didn't see any solutions which I could host completely on my own. Recently I found one. It is called Walkiefleet. they have windows based server for PTT calls and video, also have some gps stuff. I installed server demo and playing with it now. so far so good. see it here walkiefleet.com
