Warren County EMS channel 158.745 PL 186.2 can now be heard in the Stroudsburg area from the Foxtown Hill tower site on Godfrey Ridge Rd. The signal is full quieting! EMS units from Blairstown and Knowlton have been using Pocono Hospital as one of their primary receiving facilities for decades, this added coverage is well overdue.

It would probably help if you specified that you're talking about Warren County New Jersey, not Pennsylvania, since you're posting in the Pennsylvania forum.

I just assumed that people would know what I was talking about because I mentioned key locations like "Pocono", "Stroudsburg" and "Blairstown". Point taken.

Honestly thought they would never do this addition. The dispatch channel is very loud but many issues with the response channels in the past. Good on Warren Comm Center.

Knowlton Fire/EMS is on the highway a lot in the Water Gap. Nice weather also brings a lot of visitors to Gap as well, plenty of terrain rescues.

Hopefully this will fill in the shadowed areas of the Gap and Old Mine Rd.

I spoke with Gary Hoffman at the Monroe Co Control Center, and he said that they "worked out an arrangement" with Warren to to occupy space on the tower. The control center owns the tower. He knew they were working on getting the equipment installed, but wasn't aware they were already online.

Also, Monroe sends ALS to intercept 46 and 41 at the toll bridge occasionally. There was also a water rescue on the Delaware river last year involving a group of swimmers, with a fatality. It was a mutual aid operation involving both Monroe and Warren. The expanded coverage will benefit both counties.
