Warren County TACN

Has anyone heard any info on Warren going TACN lately? Im a FF in warren and have heard we will be switching soon, but what im told is McMinnville city will switch first by September 1st. I noticed some PD units carrying APX8000s and some units have changed to the all band Motorola antenna but far from able to switch yet. Sheriffs are still carrying Moto xpr6550 portables and fire is left with whatever they have, i.e. anaolog/xpr. I did find out that McMinnville fire is going to Harris 400 portables very soon.

Eventually all the local public safety will be on TACN. Sites have to be built and equipment installed. I have heard of no definite time frame but yes the move is on!

This morning I have noticed new sites on my scanner. I think they may be new sites in Warren county. I will see what I can find out.

Interesting. I haven't found any new sites yet. Can you give a little info, what area and frequencies?

I have found alot of their testing traffic on site 1/70 Woodbury 800.

OK, searching around I've found 851.100 control channel showing site 2-89, and 851.2375 control channel showing site 2-59. No activity on either other than control channel. No voice channels as of yet. No location on these, just a pretty good signal in Mcminnville.

851.100 has a voice channel of 852.5375 and only found THP District 6 so far

Interesting. Thanks. The bridge builders Rd site is actually the 911 comm center and the other is a tower beside my fire dept

Well I submitted the 2 sites. The database says the two were added, but only one shows in the database.
