Is it true that the two main Dispatch channels for WCSO are now Un-Encrypted? Also which sites to monitor. Washing Co smilucast ? Or Clackamas Co smilucast ?

yes, I was down in Wash Co the other day and was monitoring in my truck, they did away with blanket encryption, too much to deal with, according to one of the officers i talk to.
Maybe someone here can answer my question i am in buchanan county and i pick up some washington co like the EMS and Fire one of the busiest is the sheriff's office 155.4900 and it's just regular analog it's not trunked either i don't think and i am just curious why would the sheriff's office of that county be so standard when every other county around it is some kind of digital and is either encrypted or partially encrypted . i just find it weird that it's so basic . thanks

Hi i only pick up the sheriffs office the ems and fire.. where are u seeing simulcast for washington co? is it on the STARS system? Also i see that 153.3350 is shown as the sheriff secondary and it is labeled as P25 full encryption but i am hearing everything on 155.4900 and it's all analog . is the database just wrong? is there anyone in washington co that knows the freqs? Thanks
I'm not sure we're talking about the same Washington County. This one is in Oregon and there are no VHF simulcasts of Washington County Sheriff. There's also no Buchanan County in Washington or Oregon, so you're probably in the wrong state forum.
