Rebanding in progress as this is being written - should switch over tonight or tomorrow - here is what I believe will be the Frequencies in LCN order. Both systems will be up for a bit or so I am told and then when they take the control channel down on the old system everything should roll over to the new.

1. 851.2750
2. 851.5750
3. 851.9000
4. 853.2500
5. 853.5000
6. 851.3000
7. 851.6250
8. 853.2000
9. 853.4500
10. 853.7000
11. 851.3250
12. 851.6000
13. 853.1750
14. 853.4250
15. 853.9125

Thanks, I thought it may be happening as some of the frequencies sounded weird. :)

Are both systems working at the same time?

Yes - I mentioned that in my original post - apparently taking them longer than expected - I was listening to them doing tests today - trying to get everything in sync - its more complicated because there are two sites involved - Red Peak and Peavine that simlucast for the metro area - the frequency programing for both sites are the same - Joe

I've been getting strange crosstalk that sounds like easy listening music. A couple calls have been drowned out by this interference. A couple times the dispatcher has been covered. It seems one of the channels is being hit with some unexpected interference.

This is an EDACS system isn't it? That means all the older scanners will have ZERO problems tracking the rebanded system as long as the new correct frequencies are programmed, and in correct order.

I can confirm, my Pro-97 is working without an issue on the new set up :)

Thanks for the info. I was wondering what was going on. A bunch of traffic on radio testing. Then silence. At first I thought something was wrong with my four-year-old Uniden BCD396 which I use constantly, some setting in its denizen of menus, or worse some failure requiring shipping and repair. Then when I got home, I turned on my two Radio Shack PRO-2052's. Same thing. That's when I realized they changed the control frequencies. Just had no idea what they were. Thanks again for this. You'd think something like this would be in the "police beat" or "public safety" section of the newspaper, at least the mention of the restructure, the rationale behind it, and how much it cost or did not cost the taxpayer. If it was, I certainly didn't see it.

PRO-97 rebanding help

I entered the new freqs as listed in my PRO-97 but it no longer receives in scan mode. When I push manual I can hear the control chnl and transmissions on the other channels. I kept the same TG's. I know I am missing something any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This may sound stupid, but do you have them in the correct order and have trunking turned on? Also, make sure they are in ED mode, I have had it switch types on me for no reason before. Everything is working for me on my Pro-97, so it should be something simple. :)

Many thanks to joking. I entered the new frequencies in to my Pro-95 and everything seems to be fine. I became a member hoping to find info on the Washoe rebanding and it worked. Very nice to listen to Washoe Metro again.
