Weather Radio Sarnia Down? For three days now, I haven't been able to pull in 162.400 on three different radios. Nothing but static...

Don’t hesitate to contact Weather Radio Canada via the form on their website, they don’t always monitor their network from my experience.

Late last spring, our local 162.550 channel was going full power for 5 seconds then shutting off for a minute and then doing this again and again. It went like that for a whole week before I completed their online form, as I thought « they probably have a tech en route ».
It didn’t take long after I completed the form, for the service to get back to normal.

Thanks, I took the above advice and contacted Weatheradio Canada. Got a nice reply from a technician who appreciated my report and he was able to bring the transmitter back on line.

I'm surprised they don't have a "dead air detector" which triggers an alarm. All broadcast stations have these as a matter of regulation.

"Dead air" as in unmodulated carrier or completely off-the-air?

It was actually kind of nice: I could hear the NOAA station from Watertown for once. :)
