Sentinel: Weekly updates

How worked up did you all get last year when the power was off in TX for an extended period of time… there wasn’t any updates for weeks!

None at all as the updates did continue during that time period.
It's still not really a big deal as I do my updates by hand mostly anyways but for those that rely upon a website for updated info, I can see those users becoming impatient.

@JoeBearcat Yes, the Home Patrol 1 and 2 models that is, which are still not updating through their version of Sentinel.

And so it is. The IT guy updated it manually, so maybe that is why. Will pass this along.

No problems here.
I updated the Sentinel master DB in both versions of Sentinel yesterday morning about 10 AM CT and they both updated to the Feb 6th 2022 version.

edit: Even though I updated yesterday, I did just try to check for DB updates again from both versions of Sentinel and they both timed out with errors.
I was able to connect to ftp.homepatrol.com with the FTP protocol however. I didn't try to actually login via FTP though.

I just tried again and this time the Sentinel updater gave me the normal, "This version of the database is the current version" response so maybe it was a temporary problem and may be fixed now.
