MILLIKEN - A single car accident late Wednesday night took the life of one adult and left five others, including four children, in the hospital.

The Weld County Sheriff's Department says that the accident happened sometime after 10:45 p.m. Wednesday night. A Mitsubishi Montero carrying two adults and four children rolled over on Highway 60 at Weld County Road 23 near Milliken.

Investigators say one of the adults died at the scene. The other adult and four children, all under 10 years old, were transported to two hospitals in Northern Colorado. The Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland and North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley have not released their conditions.

Highway 60 was closed overnight during the investigation, but has been reopened. It's unclear what caused the accident.
