BREAKING NEWS FROM THE COLORADO STATE PATROL

LOCATION: 18457 Hwy. 392, 1 mile west of Lucern, CO Weld, County
Troopers are responding to the scene of a fatal accident at 18457 Hwy. 392 in Weld County, CO.
At approximately 2:30 P.M. a sport utility vehicle was traveling east on Hwy. 392. A semi-truck hauling grain was traveling west on Hwy 392. For unknown reasons, the eastbound SUV drifted into the westbound lanes, striking the semi-truck head on.
The female driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. A four-year old female passenger in the SUV was transported by ground ambulance to Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley with serious injuries. A one-year old female passenger in the SUV was transported by helicopter to Children's Hospital with critical injuries.
The male driver of the semi was transported by ground ambulance to Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley with moderate injuries.
Next of kin have not been notified.
