On Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 12:11pm the Rockford Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of traffic crash at North Central Avenue and Ashland Avenue. Upon arrival officers discovered that the crash involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. The drivers of both the motorcycle and vehicle were transported to local hospitals. The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. The other driver received minor injuries.
