on 1- 24 08 BOTH my pro97's stopped recieveing the west allis id tags i have been useing for ever!!
i have 2 others (pro95's) they both are more or less copies of the 97's they still work just fine did not do anthing to any of the radios prior to the failure on the 97's

Check to see if your status bit is on, or whatever radioshack calls it. They may have patched some talkgroups together.

Problem is you have Radio Shack scanners ;-)
Sure is odd you have same problem on 2 scanners.
I have West Allis locked out on my scanners because the constant BLS pages drive me niuts,tones are about a minute long sometimes then every unit has to repeat what dispatcher just said.then they go in service ,then dispatch repeats the calll ..ahhhh
Seems like scanner is stuck on them for about 3 minutes.

Isn't that the truth.

It wasn't that way when they first went on the Greenfield TRS back in the early 90's under the last chief, so I'm assuming the extraneous radio traffic appeared after the changeover to the county TRS.

I prefered the VHF days myself.
