Heard this morning. "West Valley units stay on the regular system.
You'll be notified when to switch to P25."
This could be advice to units that are jumping to P25 prematurely,
or they might be planning to switch soon.
BTW Unitrunker receives Mohogany and Nelson, but no reception on SL Simul.

I have been receiving SL Simo on the P25 system just fine for weeks. Was watching it last night and my scanner is parked on it today and I’m hearing traffic.

So when you say no reception can you clarify what you mean?

I'm in West Jordan, not hearing SL Simul. Could be because I'm using a Whistler TRX2? Not sure just yet but I'll figure it out.

I'm in Bountiful and I can barely hear/see the control channel (769.26875) at my location. Enough to know it is there, but not enough to decode.

My Unitrunker decodes and receives with audio:
Nelson 85%, Mahogany 75%, Shawshank 44%, & Francis 44%
SL Simul does not decode with a health of 5.6%
using control channel 774.83125

I picked up SL Simo just fine from north Utah County 2 weeks ago, but I have no copy at all now. DSD no longer shows a control channel there, so something changed.

sds 100 and sds 200 will pick up your simo sites. other scanners will have trouble with receiving simo, or not being distorted or choppy.. they may have it off line or turned down the sites power

What about that North Salt Lake Tower. I am picking up a lot of UHP and Fire on this. I up in east Milcreek and am getting a lot from here.

The North Salt Lake (NSL) tower seems to have a lot of traffic routed thru it. I've been hearing traffic from Cedar City to Box Elder on this tower. Not sure why, but I got a few guesses. Be nice to have a tour thru that facility.

which site is this tower on? I don't recall a tower near north Salt Lake, just the byu Kimball tower at byu or in provo...

It is 01E-Site 010-010, NAC-BC2, in Davis Co. The tower is located in North Salt lake, just off of Center Street, near Legacy Highway. They (UCA) have a large warehouse located at the base of the tower. (again, to those that are reading/monitoring, I'd love a tour)

I wasn't aware of it called a tower, it consists of Clearfield, Layton, and Davis Justice, part of Davis simo....

Semantics/Definitions. It is listed as a site on RR, and each time I drive by I see the tower next to the warehouse, with UCA trucks in the parking lot. That said, "Part of Davis Simo", I can go with that.
