By Honey Brook Fire Company December 27, 2010 Early Monday morning the Honey Brook Fire Company (33) was dispatched for an engine to assist the Glen Moore Fire Company (48) on a house fire on Lippitt Road in West Nantmeal Township. Originally units from Glen Moore and a ladder truck from the East Brandywine Fire Company (49) were dispatched for a chimney fire. Additional reports received indicated that extension into the house had occurred and the assignment was upgraded to a house fire bringing additional units from Honey Brook and surrounding companies. Engine 33-1, Engine 33-5, and Rescue 33 responded in blizzard like conditions with 16 personnel. Assistant 33 (Klinger, Jr.) arrived with Chief 49 (Edwards) and was the operations officer with Chief 49 assuming command. Engine 33-5 was the second arriving engine and staged at the end of the driveway to allow Ladder 49 access to the house and then was tasked with water supply to Engine 48-1 who had laid a supply line up the driveway. Engine 5's crew assisted Engine 48-1 with interior operations. Engine 33-1 arrived and sent it's manpower to the scene to assist with lighting and overhaul. Rescue 33 arrived and provided lighting and air cylinder refilling. With quick work of the first responding crews the fire was held to the area around the chimney. Honey Brook crews were released a short time later.
