Westchester County PD using F3..

I no longer reside in westchester but do pass by and monitor occasionally from the Bronx… I was wondering why county police is using the analog F3 freq… are they performing maintenance on primary F1/F2 channels?

That's probably because they switched to P25, like, maybe 2-3 years ago now.

But yes, They seem to be operating on F1 as normal now. They probably switched to F3 for maintenance

Yeah they are back on good old F1… just a side note I love their use of the word Kay… sounds like something your significant other says to you when she is not happy

Seems like NYPD and FDNY don't say it as much anymore. Looks like it went away when the old timers retired.

I'm old, I still use the old school pronunciation of commands the one eleven, the three three, etc.
