Does anyone else listen for ducting on these mornings
with the lingering overcast?

Copying loud and clear this morning in rural east Multnomah co:
- Douglas County Oregon fire on 154.370 151.4 PL
around 180 miles.

Also a pretty decent signal on 154.935 156.7 OSP Newport Units

In Boston we would get all the New York boroughs and Citywide that is about the same distance. On hot summer nights it would last all night and it would be so strong at times it would nearly blank out local Hi Band FDs. Brooklyn Fire on 154.37 would override Providence many nights. Providence is about 35 miles from Boston.

Good ol' Doug County...who wouldn't love them? VHF analog simulcast, around 15 or so repeater sites, 99% of the agencies in the county, and LOUD volume. Can't get any better than that.
