BCD396XT/BCD996XT: What are the master reset numbers/instructions?

Help! I am troubleshooting a corrupted BCD996XT and need to do a master reset. The info is not in the Uniden ARC XT series manual. Can someone provide me the two or three(?) numbers to push/hold and power on??? I'm "dead in the water".

Turn scanner off.
Press and continue to hold down these 3 buttons....
2,9, and "hold".
While still pressing those 3 buttons, Turn scanner on.
Release buttons and Follow prompts on screen.

Follow these steps to initialize the scanner's memory:

1. Turn off the scanner.
2. Simultaneously press 2, 9, and HOLD.
3. While continuing to press these buttons, turn on the scanner.

While still pressing those 3 buttons, Turn scanner on.
Release buttons and Follow prompts on screen.
