We bought a Toshiba TY-CWU700 FM radio/CD player. The antenna is just an insulated wire about 6 feet long. There is static on the FM station we'd like to hear at 95.3. I've read that a dipole antenna would be better for FM than the single wire. Attached is a photo of the antenna receptacle on the back of the radio and 3 photos of the plug on the antenna wire. I can't measure the diameter of the pin in the receptacle. The OD of the receptacle is 320 thousandths; the square plastic body of the plug is about 210 thousandths from side to side. The label above the receptacle reads "ANTENNA FM 75 ohm". If we need to change the plug on the antenna we buy, what is this plug called and where might they be sold? BTW, any suggestions regarding an FM antenna to buy are very welcome. Thank you for reading this request.
