Excellent video (MAKE SURE TO VIEW IT IN FULL SCREEN) but it is very misleading! (They use IE to show all the crap gotton)

This can happen IN ANY BROWSER...

Having scripts DISABLED and active-x locked down (If using IE) are 2 good starts to good surfing habits :)

Any browser can be secure and ANY BROWSER CAN BE A NIGHTMARE,it all depends on the user!

After viewing that video.... You can't blame IE or Windows. Its operator error. Every step of that required input from the user, clicking yes and ok to things which never should have been allowed in the first place.

Thats all i ever see on computers that i repair, OPERATOR ERROR.... Or as we like to call it..

The only ActiveX feature that I have enabled is the "download signed ActiveX controls" all other ActiveX items are disabled, as is scripts disabled.

For those of you who don't know where to find these controls, go to Tools/Internet Options and then Security. Scroll down the list and you will find them.

The warning about disabling these features has been around for years, however on Windows7 I don't think that you have the option to lock all of ActiveX down, can someone confirm that as I obviously don't have Windows7 at this time.
