I'm using a BCD436HP and when I do the FUNC + Scroll knob push, it brings up something on the bottom of the display.. It shows:

ERR:--- 8 AUTO
T 1.36 1.62 1.88

I don't think I've ever seen anything display for ERR, but what error is it referring to?

I have all my systems and digital conventionals set to Auto and 8. The 8 and AUTO on the display seems to change as it is scanning. Sometimes the AUTO will switch to MAN and the 8 will switch to something else, usually between 6-13. Is this what it should be set at for each system to receive the best?

Now to the T numbers. These are constantly changing, but I have no idea what they mean. Acts like a low, medium, and high limit, but for what. Is larger the number the better, or the reverse?

If someone has any definitions of what they all are for, in laymans terms, I would appreciate it. I think it's a tool to help zero in the digital threshhold, but without knowing what everything means, it's not alot of help.
Thanks in advance.

I'm here a lot
My link above should go directly to that section of the manual.

Sorry about that. Maybe if I had let it load for two seconds, I would have noticed.

It is all good :D I should have been more descriptive (darn tapatalk and their way of linking) and I appreciate you catching where I was slack :)

Thank you both KE4ZNR & mciupa:
I learned a lot from that. I didn't know it was only for P25. I bookmarked the easier to read manual.
Thanks again.

No worries. There are so many settings in today's radios that it is tough to remember them all.

It's actually applicable to DMR and NXDN as well.

Thanks jonwienke:
That's what I was thinking, but the manual said it was a P25 adjustment mode. I have all of my systems set to Auto and 8 and most are working great, just a few that I'm going to tweak a little.

The manual was written before DMR or NXDN were released, and was never updated. It should probably be re-labeled "Digital Adjustment Mode" given that it is not exclusive to P25.
