Is this the same Ekh that used to be a member a LONG time ago? If so, welcome back! :)

M- stop is short for MVA. As in traffic violation. Sometimes you'll hear them say "traffic MVA" The other kind of stop Baltimore Co. PD make is an I-stop. "I" stands for identification. They do this when pulling over a suspicious or wanted vehicle.

Thanks for the info

Ok here is another one. Is a "I" stop an information stop?

Yes Mlevin I am back. I was overseas doing some contract work. Good money but a bit risky. Thanks for the welcome back, it's good to be back.

Thanks for the replies and I will cleanup the spelling errors. Gotta stop

Glad your back. I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly noticed you absence. Great to have you with us again!

I'm not exactly sure what I-stop means. Information, or identification are both good guesses. They use it when stopping suspicious vehicles etc.

Stops

Actually, there is an F stop as well. Stands for felony stop. Used when there is a warrant, a pursuit, or some other situation which does not qualify under an M stop.

BTW, I am not sure if I am right, but I think M stop stands for misdemeanor stop (anything other than an F stop, unless it is an I stop).
