I currently have 2 Pro-97 Scanners. I am trying to setup for Starcom21 and having trouble wsing Win97. It keeps telling me that my scanner does not support that system type. Any suggestions. Should I get a different scanner or will it really support this system?

The software is correct, the PRO97 is not capable of monitoring StarCom21. You need a digital scanner, such as a PRO106, PRO197, PSR500, PSR600, BCT396D, BCD396XT or BCT996D.

May I suggest a PSR 500 (handheld) or PSR 600 (desk top). OR the new radio shack pro 106 (handheld) or pro 197 (desk top). These are the best choices. They decode a little better than the Unidens. The programming is a different format than what you've seen before with models like the Pro 97, but once you understand it they will not dissapoint.

I forgot to mention the PSR models are made by GRE. They are basically the same as the Radio Shack models mentioned above.
