What should I bring?

Hi there,

I may become involved in a trip to the Orlando area in the coming weeks, depending on what transpires in the meantime. If I wanted to listen to Fire/EMS/Police in the area, what would be good to bring along? Would a 250D and card handle what I want to hear? Any laws regarding operating a scanner? (I read the forums and found a reference to 'installed in vehicle', but thought I'd check.)

What to bring to Florida

Three days of food and water. Battery operated AM/FM radio. Ice chest, blankets, pillows.

PS, in florida it is unlawful to have a scanner attached to a vehicle. Exception for several, including licensed amatuer radio operators. Hand held sitting on a seat, not plugged into car for power is OK.
