what type of pro scan software

i have a windows 10 64 bit computer andwould like to use software to download frequencies into my uniden BCD 996T TRUNK TRACKER DIGITAL SCANNER CONNECTED TO RADIO REFERENCE AS PREMEIUM MEMBER BUT DO NOT KNOW WHAT TPE OF SOFTWARE I SHOULD USE TO TACKLE THIS TASK CAN SOME ONE TELL ME WHAT SOFTWARE WOULD WORK THE BEST AND I NOTICE THERE IS MORE THEN ONE VERSION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there i see is pro scan 17.1 and so on and so on!!!!!!!!!!!! what exact software should i use? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and quetion 2 where do i purchase it on line !! can i download the software to my computer from the internet at the same time i purchase it ?!!! can any one give me all the answe in one thread or email me this inf to my email adress @ dpitts977@gmail.com ?

You can download and try PROSCAN for 30 days. ProScan The latest version will work fine on your Windows 10 computer. If you like the software you can purchase a key from Bob.

You can also use FreeSCAN and it is FREE! Downloads - Sixspot Software Since the BCD996T is not capable of DMR or NXDN, FreeSCAN will do everything your scanner will need.

Download the latest version of ProScan which is 17.8. I would try the fully functional 30 day demo/trial. Purchasing a key will take the software out of demo mode. The purchasing info link is on the proscan.org web site. Here's a shortcut. ProScan Purchase Information

A note to add: Proscan aka Bob has awesome support whereas FreeScan is no longer supported.

Long term, you are better off with ProScan. More features, the software is supported very well, unlike FreeSCAN which is not supported at all. That would especially be true if, at some point, you add another Uniden scanner, particularly one of the newer ones like the 436HP/536HP, or the SDS100/SDS200. ProScan supports a large number of Uniden scanners (see ProScan's website for a full list).
