What's a MicroP25RX worth?

Does anyone know how many MicroP25RX's were made, or what they're worth now?

Made in Kennewick, Washington State by a single proprietor. Excellent scanner but no source for repair or parts. Owner died last July taking the Bluetail line of scanners with him. Probably no more than a couple of dozen were made. If you want to sell it you can probably find a buyer here.

I have less than a hundred members on the forum, and that covers all the Bluetail scanner models, so I would estimate that there is no more than 500 units total across all models

The MicroP25RX was Todd’s first attempt at a completely self contained portable scanner. It was superseded by the Nano. The final Bluetail scanner was the Eagle, a small self contained hand held scanner about the size of a pack of cigarettes. As near as I have been able to determine, there was only three Eagle prototypes produced, making it the rarest of the Bluetail line. There is an ongoing series on the forum of a base/mobile self-contained scanner I have dubbed the Eagle II. I am using a Nano as the basis for this build, but it could also be done using a Micro

I'm a fan of the original P25RX, I have both a 1 and II, they all do great with Multicast. But I haven't been using the Micro for over a year now and hope to find it a home for it. I just have too much stuff sitting around taking space these days!

I have a P25RX that sits on my work desk 24/7 going strong ona Phase II simulcast system. Amazingl receiver. Too bad things went the way they did. People need to be more understanding and Todd might still be with us building excellent products.

I actually asked the question a few years ago on the Bluetail forum about what would happen if the sole owner and employee of Bluetail dies, what would become of the customer service. A few guys here didn't like that and one suggested the P25RX 2 ( I own and love ) is probably too complex and not right for a novice like me.

Todd released all the code on Github, so anyone can modify, update or build custom versions. bluetailtech - Repositories

For the price and the capabilities, it's great and still holds its own. Shame that part shortages and such forced Todd to spend so much time re-designing the platform.

Our SomaFM scanner feeds are both powered by a P25RX for almost 4 years now. It's been extremely reliable.
