Woke up this morning to the scanner in my room doing HUMAN fire dispatching. What happened to Robo-dispatcher? I also noted on the VHF freqs that they had Patched the Fire Dispatch to the Fire Com Freq. which I have never yet seen happen. I guess old habits are hard to break. Misc dispatchers are doing this and some of them have gone back to using the "Time" at the end of their broadcast, which had been eliminated with the Robo dispatch (presumably because computers would automatically time stamp it anyway)? But have they had a catastrophic failure of the software causing them to revert to real live people? Is this some sort of training? Anyone have any ideas?

Probably the auto dispatch system went down. Happens time to time here in Pierce County, so they have to resort back to the old ways
