Whats the average wait time to become a database admin?

I was just curious on how long it takes process a database admin application? Is it a long process and are you told if you were not selected? Just wondering since I applied last month and it has been pretty quite. I know everyone is busy, just seeing if this is the norm from other admins who have been through this process.

Another point is that there is no average. It is a process that weighs needs against applicants. In the years here, I have seen it happen in the blink of an eye and also have seen it take over a year.

Between my own personal commitments and everything related to the HP1 enthusiasm, I'm very backlogged on admin applications right now. I will get to them eventually, please be patient. They are somewhat tedious to go through given our evaluation process and criteria.
