We had some hella good conditions here a few nights back, talked to some guys in Newton, KS on 2m VHF from my QTH in McAlester, OK some 230 miles away. That is my furthest contact on VHF to date.

This was with a Kenwood TMD-710 @ 50 watts using an Arrow dual band J pole @ 30ft. AGL.

Well here is mine.

2 meter Sporadic E's: SSB with 4el yagi inside a condo and 35 watts 778 miles (N6DLH-N3LL)VA-FL
2 Meter minor tropo: 558 miles (N6DLH-W8BYA)VA-IN
2 Meter Flat Conditions: 398 miles (N6DLH-K2LIM)VA-NY

On 2 meter meteor scatter i can work out to about 1000 miles almost any morning on sporadic meteors. Using SSB and around 60 watts into a 6el yagi @ 15 feet I can work CT, NJ, NY, DE, MD,NC, PA almost any morning just off of temp inversion ducting.

On 6 meter I worked over 1000 miles with 50 watts into a CB antenna during a sporadic E opening, but next year I will have the antenna up so that will be gone. Working 6m is fun, but 2m DX is by far more rewarding, and much more challenging.
