And lets assume for a min that what you say is true. What makes you so sure that you won't be a beta tester for GRE?

No. I learned my lesson. I am not going to be an early adopter this time LOL! OK, at least I am going to try not to be an early adopter. After I hear enough reviews how the new GREs work with Indiana SAFE-T, then I will decide. My experience with the Pro-96 has been good though.

Also I don't think this is a UPMAN issue. He has done a great job on the forums. He has a life, a full time job with Uniden and we cannot expect him to be on the forums all the time. And I am sure he is limited by company policy what he can say about upcoming firmware upgrades and new products. We have to respect that.

Yeah, you don't see any other manufactuer have an employee here working with scanner owners....gotta give Uniden credit for that.

For competitive reasons, I do not publicly (or privately, so the phone calls aren't terribly productive :) ) discuss upcoming firmware updates. There have been a few very rare exceptions. I will say that it is normal for us to have one or more incremental improvements under development or test at any particular time. Updates typically require several months of beta testing amongst from 10-20 confidential testers around the country (and, again, if I need you I can and do contact you).

As mentioned, there are other topics and/or comments that I cannot (and should not) touch.

My best and most valued sources of feedback are the folks who participate on these forums and the similar Yahoo! discussion groups. Just because I cannot always respond, don't take that to mean nothing is happening.
