I've got a tram nmo mag mount coming and it'll placed on the cab roof of my vehicle ..i just purchased the tram all band antenna which is roughly 16" long and all im listening to is the okwin . So my question is should I stick with the 16" whip which is built for the 800mhz or use a nmo 150 tram coil with a 49" whip ?

A 150MHz coil and a 49" whip is going to be resonate way down in the lower part of the 2 meter amateur radio band, or maybe even a bit lower. It likely will not perform well on the 800MHz OKWIN system.

The "All band" antenna, if it is the one I think it is, will probably work better since it's likely/sorta resonate on 800MHz.

If you wanted to change antenna, and OKWIN/800MHz was all you listened to, a dedicated 800MHz only antenna might out perform the "all band" antenna.

It's the Tram 1091-BNC . I'll leave it be since my psr600 is already programmed for this area . I appreciate your input and direction on which mount to purchase .

For 800MHz use, I'd stick with that antenna. A 5/8 wave VHF antenna isn't going to work any better.
