Our public safety system in Schenectady County NY is in the process of changing over to P25 phase 2. I have all the frequencies and talk groups ezscan does not currently have this information. I am wondering if I put the information in the trucked system section of ezscan and have nothing in the conventional section will it scan correctly, or do I also need to put the frequencies in the conventional area as well? You need to create a new Trunked System, make the type P25, add the frequencies in a site, it helps if you know voice/control frequencies and add just the control, add TGs in the talkgroup tab

Hi & welcome to the RR forums:
If this is the system you're referring to then being that it is known to the Radioreference database it should also be known to EZ Scan. First thing I would try before creating anything brand new is updating the EZ Scan library to include the latest information from Radioreference. then write the new info to the scanner, this would save you the hassle of having to create objects yourself. Also the 1080 might not be the ideal receiver to receive this system due to potential simulcast distortion as the Schenectady County sites are simulcast according to the DB. But then again you may be lucky and be able to track the system just fine based on your location relative to two or more simulcasting sites
