Whistler program issues out of the blue..

Out of the blue this morning 1080 program has an issue opening up..It says Access Violation at address 00910793 in module 1080 exe write of address 000008. Then when I click ok another window opens up saying the update scan list window pops up and then nothing just sits there locking up program..Again this just started this morning.. Any advice

SD Card is for DATA not the Scanner Operating System.
The Errors you listed are Read Write Errors.
Or you could just send it back to Whistler if you do not believe us. O wait Whistler Whistler is like MIA.

If it is on the laptop, are you running the most current version of EZ Scan?

Ok take the SD Card out of the scanner and read and write to it with your laptop. If error continues make a new SD Card.
A 8GB SD Card at Walmart is less than $10.
I am taking into consideration that this Laptop and Scanner have worked with each other in the past.
That leaves 2 options.
1. SD CARD
2. Windows Updates

I am going to get a new card tomorrow. At first I could not connect laptop to scanner scanner I could start up scanner by itself. After trying several different things now scanner won't even start up.. So I am going to get new card for scanner. I tried formatting card with laptop. All these issues I am having started today out of the blue...Thanks for replys . P.S. I uninstalled ezscan program and downloaded new program.

I hope earlier my question were not taken the wrong I was not saying you were wrong. But the scanner doesn't work without SD card correct just trying to understand how the scanner works..I have had this scanner a while I have experienced this before but I could also fix issue but ezscan was able to update update online meaning whistler was in business. I had a 16 gig in scanner always took a few more seconds to start up with this card.. Would a 8 gig be better

It would take a while, long while, for you to fill a 8gb card even if you save all transmissions you record.

The only time the scanner is effected by card size is bootup time and you can go up to 32gb you just have to ask yourself if a few more seconds of bootup time is worth more storage time.

Well i got new card gives me error code 5 meaning i have to reformat card. Still issues loading ezscan when i try to load up software laptop it locks up even in the welome text box on main page of ezscan program it is all garbled up with weird looking charectors.. I can not load up program it does its normal locking up.. I am reformatting new micro card I did notice when i put the micro sd card into adapter for laptop and was going to reformat it did put scanner files on sd card from trying the first i tried starting scanner. Should i uninstall ez scan software and reinstalling software..

Now I got scanner turning on and scanning but software is still acting up and locks up. To close program I push control + alt+ delete and then hit task Manager and click end task on ez scan software. Program will then open up and then close ...

Also out here the other day someone put out new talk group numbers to add for Berrien ctny..I can not find those numbers.

When i try to open up ezscan program still getting error ws1080. Then it tries to open up scan list and locks up... I found out if you hit ctrl and alt and delete and open up task manager and click on whistler program and click expand and close down update list i can get in ezscan program but program is not acting correctly on the general tab page the welcome window left hand side the character's are all weird looking. Has anyone else had this happens I am at a loss what to do.....Any advice greatly appreciated...

Sounds like a Corrupt file in the registry but I am lost there.

Got it working . I installed 1080 ezscan on another laptop I have worked great. Thanks to everyone.. Strange why it will not work on my ham shack laptop it allways used to work on..
