What's MIRS ?
I really wish people would stop calling it 'MIRS' - It's the Morris County Trunked Radio System.
MIRS (Morris Integrated Radio System) is an interoperability plan for mutual-aid between the municipalities in the county. It's not the name of the TRS.

I somehow new it was 'Interoperable' - someone went and changed the database a long time ago when I wasn't looking....

That's what I call a "crystal ball" question. I'm sure when people in the know hear "semi-confirmed rumors" they will post it up. I can say there there are talks. But for now, nothing new.

Right now bringing new towns on board is on hold until after the new dispatch center is completed.
