I have successfully loaded the Snohomish county control channels and TGID's. This works fine.

Then I try to add the Seattle/King county control channels and TGID's using Freescan and Radio Reference as a member, and then I have overlapping TGIDs

ie, during the Seattle/King scan only with no other sites unlocked, I will pick up several TGID's that are from Snohomish County. Same TGID, 48, 1712, etc. It will say Seattle on the screen but it is clearly the Snohomish County TGID based on strong signal strength and the addresses they are giving in the conversations.

Why would my Snohomish ID's show up during a Seattle scan with different control codes?

Any help would be appreciated. I live in Everett

Are the Seattle TGIDs in the same bank as the Everett TGIDs? If so then your scanner is probably locking onto the Everett control channels. Talkgroups are not GUIDs but they are unique in a system.

nope

On my scanner I have site quick keys and then group quick keys under that. My Seattle site is a different quick key than my Snohomish County quick key, so they are completely seperate.

ie, when tag 1712 comes up on my Snohomish county site it says Sno/com North Dispatch, when it comes up in the Seattle site it says something like SPD fire 2 or however I have it named.

I did double check and the control channel frequencies are completely different

Since you have Freescan, dump your programming into a file and post it here and I'm sure someone can figure out why.

Thats what it sound like to me too. From a quick look 1712 is used by Port,Seattle fire 3 and Snohomish North So.

I know nothing about quick keys, but it sounds to me as if you have programmed two trunk systems into one bank. They should be in separate banks to trunk track successfully.

Here is my file

I am still working on organizing it. The problems are with the Seattle/King County 3 group and the Snhomish County group.

As far as I know, I don't have problems with Seattle talk group showing up on Snohomish, just Snohomish TGID's showing up on the Seattle group

NEVERMIND..It says I cannot upload a .996 file. I tried to save it as text and it was too big. I will have to work on this later when I get some time. I have to go to work

Search not Scan

From what he said, he has each TRS in its own system, under its own quickkey(sort of like having them in two different banks) and each site is under its respective system. So unless the control channels are the same(which I doubt) in each system, you have the system/site in "search mode" instead of "scan mode" so your seeing the TGID's but not your text tags for them because some of the freqs are the same. Its only happening one way because the other system/site IS in "scan mode". Thats my guess.
