The Flagstaff Wildland Fire Zone has changed all of its aviation frequencies. Here is the lineup for 2024:

Air to Air 1 135.975
Air to Air 2 126.625
Primary Air to Ground 32 166.9625
Secondary Air to Ground 56 168.6625
Tertiary Air to Ground 57 168.7250

Here is the updated list of Air Tanker Base frequencies for Arizona:

Fort Huachuca 123.975
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway 122.675
Prescott 122.675
Safford (SEAT) 122.675
Show Low (SEAT) 123.975
Winslow 123.975

SEAT = Single Engine Air Tanker. These bases on handle the small, 800 gallon, crop duster size aircraft.

A 2023 memo from the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, ID stated that all air tanker bases would be moving to a nationwide frequency of 122.675. Since this requires the authorization of the FAA apparently this nationwide change was not possible.

Thanks for the update. What’s the source of your info if I can ask? Do you have any updates for Prescott?

Also…has Air Guard or National Flight Following changed?
TIA

No, those are set in stone for a long, long time. Both have national authorizations, which are hard to come by. Air Guard has been around since I started working for the USFS in 1974 and had been around for awhile at that point. National Flight Following is a more recent development, but again it is one of those rare frequencies with a national authorization so any change is highly unlikely.

One thing I forgot to mention is that in the Southwestern GACC (Geographic Area Coordination Center - AZ and NM) there is an authorization to use Tone 1 (110.9) on the receive side of radios. Nationally it is only authorized for the transmit side. This is being done due to interference from Mexico.

Per multiple requests all the frequencies in the database under "Interagency Dispatch Centers" are correct as of current early April information.
