I have noticed that Will County has updated their licensees to add 5 frequencies to the simulcast site on the system.
It looks as if these were previously used on the old EDACS system.
I tried listening to them in conventional but nothing heard except on 851.7625, hearing an EDACS control with another digital coming in from time to time at same time like they are from two different transmitters.
Can anyone provide any input as to what they are hearing.
It looks as if 853.2500 and 853.6000 maybe used as conventional back up repeaters?

I saw this in the license grants as well, tommypickles, and updated the Will County P25 listing in the Radio Reference database. Since this license modification was just granted. It will be interesting to see if the new freqs are also in the control channel rotation like many of the existing repeater are. If so, the database will need to be updated to reflect this.

I have deprecated the Will County EDACS system from the database. According to a note attached to the license modifications for callsigns WPJZ269 and WPMQ851, 853.250 and 853.600 will be conventional repeaters. Emission codes for NFM and P25 have been added to these frequencies, and the previous emission code has been deleted.

That didn’t take long, I’m guessing everything was in place and they just flipped the “switch”
