I dispatch full-time for one Passaic County agency who has just hired a consultant to look into the various frequency/band options for our new comm system. We are looking at everything from staying analog-UHF (where we currently are), trunking, and APCO-25.

I dispatch part-time for another Passaic County agency who is in the middle of a comm system upgrade and we are staying analog-conventional, moving from VHF-Lo to UHF. Unless the state or federal government pays us to upgrade to an APCO-25 system our new system that is in the midst of being installed won't be replaced for years.

Bayonne just spend $5 million on a new digital system. There claim is they want to lead the way in a new form of communication.

That's why my taxes are through the roof and my water bill just was raised 60%!!!!!!!
