Wilmington setup

I have the BCD396T scanner, and I have programmed the state and county talkgroup ID's into the scanner and that works well. But I am confused on how to set up the scanner for the Wilmington talkgroups. Iv'e tried switching back and forth between the preset and custom subfleet or fleet settings, and I don't no how to set them up manually. Does anyone, or can anyone help me configure these settings?

Hello,

Program the City of Wilmington as MOTOROLA TYPE I. Set the CUSTOM FLEET MAP as follows:

BLOCK 0: 12
BLOCK 1: 12
BLOCK 2: 12
BLOCK 3: 12
BLOCK 4: 12
BLOCK 5: 12
BLOCK 6: 12
BLOCK 7: 12

You only have to enter the Size Code for Blocks 0, 2, 4, and 6. The Unit will enter the Size Code for Blocks 1, 3, 5, and 7. The City of Wilmington uses a MOT Type IIi Hybrid System. The City will switch to the State System in the near future.

Wilmington PD dispatch is currently being simulcast on the State TRS (can't recall the TG offhand). I take it that all Wilmington City services are moving to the state system or is it just PD/FD/EMS?

Hello,

I don't know. Will have to wait until the switchover. As of now, there are new towers that have been constructed in Wilmington with no equipment attached as of yet. There are active licenses for Microwave Links to the State System.

The State may wait until the Rebanding Process starts before switching Wilmington. Wilmington has access to the State System, they just don't use it very often. Just have to wait and see what happens.
